In conjunction with Languages Connect, the European Commission Representation in Ireland is organising its second annual Try a new Language event as part of Culture Night on Friday, 18 September.



This online event will be a celebration of multilingualism and will be part of our annual European Day of Languages activities.



Languages Connect (the Government’s awareness-raising campaign on the value of learning languages), have recruited a language teacher to offer 20 minute taster classes in your language.



Schedule on the night:

Chinese, German, Lithuanian and Spanish between 5-7pm (4 sessions each)

Irish, Japanese, Portuguese and Romanian between 6-8pm (4 sessions each)

Anyone over 65 should consult with their GP on getting the vaccine:
One PPV23 pneumococcal vaccine is recommended for anyone aged 65 years or older irrespective of immune status.

A once only booster vaccination is recommended 5 years after the first vaccination for those who received a previous dose at less than 65 years of age.

NOTE: Revaccination with PPV23 can produce severe local reactions especially if given within 5 years of previous inject
